We’re thrilled to announce our newest project at Novus- a Marriott Tribute hotel!
“A new seven-story upscale hotel will be built as part of the Novus Innovation Corridor on Arizona State University’s Tempe campus.
The new 168-room,116,855-square-foot hotel property – part of Marriott Bonvoy’s Tribute Portfolio – will be located at Novus Place and Packard Drive.
The Marriott Tribute Portfolio property in Tempe will be a full-service hotel with a rooftop pool and bar and a 2,700-square-foot meeting space.
The project is being developed and built by Tempe-based Okland Construction. Okland is working closely with ASU and Banbury Development, which oversees the development of the Novus Innovation Corridor and specifically Novus Place, an entertainment and retail district located near ASU’s sports facilities.
“We’re going to fit an interesting niche with a boutique style hotel that has more of an elevated experience,” Bill Okland, the CEO of Okland Construction, told the Business Journal. “It’s going to be that perfect sweet spot of convenience and experience.”
The hotel will be located near a restaurant hub recently constructed in Novus Place that includes multiple Fox Restaurant Concepts locations.
The project, which has been in the works for several years, is still in the design and planning stages, with construction set to start in the second quarter of 2027. Okland said the hotel should open around two years after construction starts – with a target of the first half 2029…”
